I always hear a repeater on 460.600 very clear in Salem County and was wondering where it is and why is it there?
I thought all communications were on the 800Mhz system??

I also hear 460.575 and it appears to be transmitting the same info as on 460.600.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

If you are hearing the same transmissions on 460.600 (Talleyville VFC) and 460.575, you are hearing a re-broadcast of Fire Board . 460.575 is Cranston Heights VFC. These are just a few of the many Station repeaters in New Castle County.

460.625 Aetna
453.900 Elsmere
500.7875 Millcreek
154.145 Hockessin

These are all listed, and more in the Database in the County listings for Delaware

460.575 is also Lima fire (Delaware County station 6-9) private chan. They also have it so that when a ems/fire call is dispatched on the low band that it is also dispatched on the high band. (repeatered/connected/hooked to a plectron) They also pick up a city FD in New Jersey on that freq, every morning at 0800 AM the dispatch center does a radio check of every single engine, ladder, rescue and bat. chief.

460.600 136.5 is also used by Harford County, MD, as a dispatch patch from their 800 TRS.
