462.975 KC Life Flight?

Just wondering I have this freq programmed in my scanner and from the DB it shows it as KC Life flight. Just wondering do they normally call the helicopters ambulances? Because tonight I did hear medic traffic but when in refrence to were the patient came out to she called it an ambulance. Many thanks if anyone in the KC area might know what this freq is. Im in nevada MO for a point of refrence.

You were most likely hearing a Medical unit on "MED 10" 462.975 talking with Bates County Memorial Hospital. See WNMB670 for the other med channels licensed there.

Am i correct in that life flight also uses this freq as well?

Yes they do. I think they are up right now on a call [@ 00:08]

Thanks Gregg, Like I said i live in nevada but they do make there way down here at times and would like to be able to see whats going on when they do. Thanks again.

When they get "over" scene they will use 154.28 to talk with the folks on the ground at the incident.

They are up right now on 462.975 enroute somewhere. The usualy ID as EAGLE#.

If your scanner accepts P/L tones, 118.8 is what Life Flight uses on that freq for "private". It's great if you don't want to hear the routines ambulance traffic on there.
