I was under the impression that all LE agencies in SD county were on 700 or 800. When I was working in SD in the 80's we had significant problems with funeral homes contracting wantabe's on motorcycles to act as funeral escorts. It sound like there back.

They use private security companies that have ''motorcycle officer's'' etc they are not police departments only security guards that escort.

A couple I found

California Motor Escort out of La Mesa and they do not deal with the public

National Public Safety out of El Cajon they use MOTOTRBO trunked by the way for dispatch ops.

Lets be crystal clear on something - these clowns are NOT law enforcement officers, though they often look the part. They actually serve to cause more traffic violations and near-misses than they are worth.

Admittedly, I get my jollies blowing past these guys on the freeway... A very simple way to tell who is who is that a police motorcycle will never have a registration tag on its license plate.

Ignore the flashing yellow/red lights on the tail of these clowns bikes. Just more academy flunkees.

National Public Safety has a rocky history with PD one guard of the National Public Safety was arrested for hit and run.
