471.675: Toms River

I have 471.675 programmed in as Toms River senior center with a DPL of 265. I rarely hear activity on this frequency, but tonight I heard it clear a conversation using voice inversion. Anyone else ever hear activity on this channel?

I have this down as police explorers. I used to hear activity on this around 8-10 years ago, but not until recently did I hear something on it again (someone blowing in the mic and some noise, which may have been voice inversion). Not sure what they're planning on doing with it.

It was definitely voice inversion last night. A friend with scrambling software said it was a cab company. It's weird that a cab company is using Toms River's frequency with the same DPL tone.

Hearing voice inversion on this right now. Transmissions sometimes end with a beep. I wonder if some cab company is hijacking their repeater.

Anyone else monitor this or have any information on it? I only hear them late at night, usually around or after midnight. Traffic patterns seem weird for a taxi company.
