477.9625 MHz in northern NJ

I have been monitoring 477.9625 for quite some time on my scanner. They come in nice and strong and until today, I couldn't figure out who was using it. They are only listed as "Wireless 2K" in the FCC database, which is a frequency leasing company. Well, the company that currently uses that frequency is Chemical Water located in Bloomfield, NJ. These guys are the ones who check, deliver, pick up fire extinguishers from various Police Departments and Fire Departments throughout at least Essex and Union Counties in NJ. I haven't heard towns mentioned in any other county yet. I only figured out that they used this frequency because they gave the phone number of the shop to one of the drivers over the air. Therefore, I just called the number and asked who it was. Chemical Water Shop! It's always fun playing detective with the scanner.

Are you sure that you're not listening to Warner Communications from Upper Montclair? Their shop is on the same frequency and they pick up and drop off portable radios that have been repaired. Most of their clients are police & fire departments located throughout northern NJ. Their repeater is located near the Mt. Fuji restaurant in West Orange.

It's very possible that I may be hearing them too. From Union County, I can hear a few companies using that frequency. One of them definitely sounded like they said, "Water Shop" when they picked up the phone after I dialed the number of the shop they mentioned over the air. Perhaps I mixed up Water with Warner??? I guess anything's possible. I'll keep monitoring and see if I can hear any other clues. It's just tough since a few companies share the same frequency.
