48.950 Any ideas who?

Another low band aircraft heard today. This one was on 48.950 at around 5:30 PM CDT. The guy said he was 200 some miles east of Salina which would put him somewhat near here by KC. I had three bars on the BC-780 which was hooked to a 40 meter dipole in the tree out back.

That's the only transmission I caught. I found only one entry in the DB and it is for some utility company in Canada.

Also, there seemed to be no other low band propagation at the time so I believe it was local.

48.94 and 49.96 give a bunch of hits in the FCC database.
