Hi All,

I noticed on monday that the old mdt channels went offline. They haven't come back so I'm guessing that they were retired ( not surprised , 30 year old sys).

Although it wasn't decodable, I would use 482.6875 to verify scanners and check LA signal propagation due to the continuous carrier.

can someone local verify?

482.6875 in not on my list. MDT's are long gone and were in the 470 band, those channels are now voice channels.

Gota love the Toughbook 31,s with touch screen.

LACoFD uses 482.xxxx for their MDTs.

They were to migrate to the LA-RICS PSBN network, with frequencies eventually released for reuse on the LA-RICS LMR system.
Sounds like that is happening now if the many 482.xxxx MDT frequencies are going silent.
