MY question is as follows, I purchased a new SD card from eBay recently, I installed it and seems to work.. my only issue is when I went to systems and input Lompoc federal (FCI) Prison , it will show the channel/frequency when there transmitting, but no audio.. I can still put the other SD card I had back in, and works fine on this site (FCI) Lompoc prison.. so new updated SD card isn't allowing this site to fully function like it should.. any ideas why ? Thanks ..

I suspect it is related to not having the proper trunking tables for the site. Lompoc FCI uses a Motorola Type II SmartZone system. Compare the trunking tables on the 2 different cards.
You would think this SD would have worked.. I'll contact the seller on eBay and let him know.. thanks
This problem might not be related to the new SD card. If it works with other systems, just not this one it is not the card.
Try this: Load the scanner from the old card. initialize the new card using the option in EZ-Scan then download the radio to it. An alternative is to format the card and then copy the entire old card to the new card.

Speaking of the PSR-800, I have one that hasn't been updated in several years because I've only been using it to monitor a couple of systems that have not changed since I set it up. I had planned to send it off to Whistler to get the DMR/model update but I sat on it for too long and now that's a missed opportunity.
What, if anything, can I do now to bring it up-to-date as much as possible? Whether that's firmware, the last database update or whatever? I'm very much out of date with all the developments concerning this device so thanks in advance for any direction.

Do this for me:
Put the SD card that does not work into the scanner. Go to the Scanner/SD Card tab and click on Copy Configuration From Scanner Memory/SD Card. Go to the File tab and click on Save to Archive. Name the file: Bad Card.
Put the SD card that works into the scanner. Go to the Scanner/SD Card tab and click on Copy Configuration From Scanner Memory/SD Card. Go to the File tab and click on Save to Archive. Name the file: Good Card.
Put the bad card back into the scanner. Go to the Scanner Memory/SD Card tab and click on Copy Configuration To Scanner Memory/SD Card. Let me know if the bad card works now.
If the bad card works, attach the Good Card and Bad Card files and I will take a look at them and let you know what the problem was. Click on Attach files in your post and open each file.
