The Federal Communications Commission will hold an Open Meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, which is scheduled to commence at 10:30 a.m. the Open Meeting is available to the public, and are streamed live at: www.fcc.gov/live and on the FCC’s YouTube channel.

One of the items on the docket include Protecting Against National Security Threats through the Equipment Authorization Program (ET Docket No. 21-232)

SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Second Report and Order and Second Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to take the next important steps in modifying our equipment authorization program to protect our networks and communications supply chain against national security threats.

Item #2 discusses making sharing (very unusual for this or any FCC) 24, 28, 37, 39, and 47 GHz licenses easier to do with the satellite operators and almost seemingly misses the point - all that paperwork could be avoided if the FCC held a reverse auction and let Elon and Bezos duke it out

What is so damn special about satellite operations that they don't ever have to fight for their frequencies? hmm
