GYPSUM, Colorado — A man was killed in a one-car accident in Gypsum, Colorado late Tuesday night.

The accident happened at mile eight on Cottonwood Pass Road, according to Eagle County Coroner Kara Bettis.

Colorado State Patrol hasn't notified the man's next of kin yet and no other details are available right now.

"The driver of the vehicle was ejected during the first roll and pronounced dead at the scene," patrol Sgt. Marshall Schwarz wrote in a statement sent to the Rocky Mountain News Wednesday.

"Speed and alcohol are factors, the crash is still under investigation," Schwarz said.

An autopsy will be performed Wednesday afternoon, Bettis said.
