4's A Pair in Denver

This afternoon I heard a call for 4's A Pair for a fire alarm. Have they added an Engine to station 4 just for the weekend events, or is it permanent?

Michael 4s a pair means that the eng 4 and truck 4 have been dispatched.insted of saying eng.4 truck 4.

Just added Engine 4 to help downtown for the weekend, we paged that last night.

I hadn't heard Engine 4 before and I probably won't be hearing them again after this weekend.

No station 4 has always just had Truck 4 and no engine, this might be a permanent addition but I believe it's just for this weekend activities.

Well for many years there has been talk about Denver combing stations 3 & 4 and putting it around 18th & California, I think. I thought maybe they had done that and were running 2 units from there. It's hard to see them adding another unit when the budget is in such bad shape that they've been talking about rolling closures.

And spoke to some old Glendale FF's today and they don't even start the modified Denver academy until next week so they can't help the staffing crunch.
