Feed Providers,

This weekend we are going to see a tremendous amount of protesting and social unrest across the United States, so I want to take a moment to remind everyone of our feed provider terms of service with regards to Law Enforcement Feeds. It is critically important that you resist the urge to violate these terms of service or make game-time exceptions to these rules.

Feed Providers are NOT ALLOWED to broadcast:
  • Dedicated Law Enforcement Tactical or Talk Channels and Talkgroups
  • Dedicated Narcotics / CID / Investigations or other tactical operations on channels or talkgroups
If law enforcement operations are occurring on dedicated DISPATCH, Events, or Interop channels, those communications ARE ALLOWED on Broadcastify. But if the communications are on dedicated tactical or talk channels or talkgroups, you may not broadcast them. If you have a question, respond to this email and we'll help you clarify.

Additionally, please DO NOT CHANGE what your feed was approved to broadcast. We've are seeing numerous instances where providers are unilaterally changing their feed's content that differs from what was approved for the broadcast. If you are interested in providing a feed that covers communications that allowed as part of the Terms of Service, submit a new feed application and we'll get it approved ASAP.

Please note that if you violate the terms of service, or you unilaterally change what your feed is broadcasting without approval from the administration staff, we reserve the right to terminate your feed at any time. We have already terminated a few feeds this week because feed providers have directly made the decision to violate our terms of service. Don't be that person.

Thanks for your support, and be safe this weekend.

To Long Didn't Read:
  • Don't change your feed without approval
  • DO NOT violate the Feed Provider Terms of Service.
Thank you,
Lindsay

Hey Lindsay,

I'm a reporter in Philly and it looks like all the public law enforcement channels are down with some note saying it was due to "rioters" using the streams. Any clue what's going on here?
