I have been playing with my new 536 this afternoon and thought this might help someone. I get nearly flawless reception after setting the P25 Threshold setting to "Manual" and then setting the P25 Threshold Level to 8. I started at 3 and got nothing. 4 and 5 seemed good, but if you follow the steps listed online about the auto adjustment, it shows 8 and when I set it to 8 I seem to be getting great reception with error rates below 40 consistently. Bye the way, I am in Butler County, so signal strength is only around 50-60% also but seems to be decoding very well.

My 396XT auto adjusts to 6 on 1.11.01 firmware. The previous version was around 7. Same result for the Butler County on KSICS. Excellent decode quality in Andover.

My 996 auto adjusts to 6 on the Bu Simulcast system as well. The 8 was on the Sg Simulcast system. I have great luck on the Bu Simulcast too - actually pretty much no issues at all. Sg is much better, but I notice it still needs some tweaking
