Early this morning (around 0800z) I was listening to 5690kHz USB and caught some foreign language comms (Japanese?) that sound like aircraft. Only heard one side well enough to copy. Also noticed 2-3 mins of data would occasionally be sent in between his transmissions.

I agree with you that the voice traffic does sound Japanese. Data mode sounds like RTTY to me.

Very good reception into Japan tonight!

Hearing very faint voice traffic off and on but it's very weak here. I also have some bad QRM nearby.

Here is a recording from last night.
To me it sounded like JJN6 wkg 1BM (aircraft) giving weather for Nagasaki.
Any confirmation help with the callsigns is much appreciated
