I was scanning the bands on Nov. 28 2009 at around 10:30 PM EST ( 3:36GMT ) on 5810 KHz

Herd a non eng. Announcer to me it sounded Mexican but I'm not that good a judge nothing I could find showed anything Mexican or maybe Spanish at this time.

The signal was pretty strong here in Toronto Canada can anybody shed some light on this one want to complete my logg for the day.

Thanks

It's always dangerous to list-log - that is, list the most likely candidate for a log without checking the ID first, but my first guess per the NASWA spreadsheet is WEWN Alabama - the EiBi, Aoki and FCC schedules all agree here. Best to listen for the ID, of course, usually at the top of the hour or 1/2 hour.

Listening to this on August 4, 2010 at 1140pm EST. Looks like this schedule

EWTN Shortwave Frequency Guide

has the information, which says "Frequencies are subject to change. Changes will be announced in advance at the beginning of the hour as early as possible.
Contact Glen Tapley, Frequency Manager, at 205-795-5779 or gtapley@ewtn.com"
