I just picked up an FR6000 repeater, and want to play around with 6.25 kHz NXDN a bit.
This is probably a dumb question, but -- do external power amps just mirror the bandwidth of the input signal? Could a "normal" power amp work with a 6.25 kHz input and keep a 6.25 kHz output? The FR5000/6000 are rated for 50% duty cycle at 50W or 100% at 25W, so turning them down to 25W and feeding them into a 25W in, 100W out amp would seem advantageous. But I'm too ignorant to know if there are any issues when dealing with narrower channels.
