We are into the summer E-skip season. Worked stations in Ohio, Georgia, Florida, Colorado and California on 52.525 MHz FM while mobile near Austin, TX. From home I worked the west coast and Caribbean on 6 SSB.

Next weekend in the ARRL VHF contest, so there will be plenty of activity. Hope the propagation we had this weekend repeats next weekend.

Not really...

AM Broadcast band = 0.530 - 1.710 MHz
6 Meter band = 50.0 - 54.0 MHz

Big difference in frequency, and big difference in how propagation works on each band.
