What can be done with a 100' antenna on top of an 850' tower up on a hill near Syracuse on 6 meters? Let's find out Tuesday April 3rd. All the details, and the whole story on a new soon to be repeater can be found here.
This will be an amazing repeater using the former analog channel 3 TV broadcast antenna, the test will show us just how amazing it might be. :D

I heard a rumor that a TV CH2 transmitter and antenna at the end of a 900 foot tower was lit up on 6 meters at about 25 KW using the aural transmitter. Rumor has it he was heard a LOOOOONG ways away. =)

not much posted other than it went well and the number of check ins. Would be interesting to see where the check ins came from. What was their furthest contact ect

You just need to scroll down a wee bit further to "Signal Range". Looks like it was a success, congrats!
