Currently monitoring 6697 that I have as "Aero Off Route US Navy World Wide TACAMO EAM Broadcast Discrete" with ongoing NATO exercise (?) from last night. Today players include arabic speaking airborne and ground stations. (monitored via pc remotely controlled rig located in the UK)

Im getting some activity here on the east coast now as propagation improves and evening has settled in. Hearing radio checks to a net control station with foreign accents all in English at about S-3 on my 40' long wire.

Just stumbled on this freq and heard an EAM in progress, ended with "This is Seychelles out."

Is the ~ch~ pronounced like a k ?

I've always heard it pronounced "say-shell" but knowing the military -- they wouldn't like that. So the K would make sense.

Another example: Quebec is always "K-beck" to the military.
