I am picking up strong signal on 6920 AM mode. It is two people speaking in Spanish. I do not speak Spanish but it sounds like a broadcst station. I am not aware of this frequency being used for broadcast radio. Could this be Pirate Radio from outside this country? I was checking the area around 6925 for pirates when I picked this up. I am hoping that is what is found but it sounds a bit too professional for Pirates. Any help would be appreciated. Also, they have mentioned Oakland Ca. several times.

Thanks again,
Lew

My guess is that its from Mexico. I live in SW Florida and at night I pick them up a lot around 6MHz. They are allowed to use more power through their towers.

That band (6800-7000) is used by Mexican fishing fleets from time to time...they sometimes clash with pirates on 6925 and 6955.

I am picking a very strong signal again on this frequency. It is a religious broadcast. There has been no station identification yet, but I will keep listening. I hope to figure what this could be.
