I get a lot of 7***** talkgroup ID's when scanning MARCS in trunking mode.

Unfortunately, i dont have any of the exact numbers its a 6 digit (hundred-thousand ID number). Theres nothing like that in our database.

Sometimes it will stop on one and its usually static.

any idea what these are for?

They are not I-calls. those are clearly defined as I-calls on the display screen.

These are MOT ID's

On my 296D

The Radio IDs are part of the I-Calls. You need the other person's Radio ID (7*****) in order to I-Call/Private Call them.

That is why they show up on the screen.

Interesting. since I-calls are private, no wonder why its static when its stops on these 7***** talkgroups.

Thanks

the 7***** are NOT Talkgroups. Those are the Radio IDs. Motorola Talkgroups are 8*****
