You'll have to tell us which system you want to program before anyone can give specific help...Be sure to give the URL of the system from the database so folks know which one you are looking for help...In general terms, it's no different than any other trunk system insofar as assigning quick keys and laying out the talkgroups into groups, and assigning group quick keys for them.

There are several applications that, with the purchase of a subscription (cheap), will allow you to download data from the database, which does much (though not all) of the work for you. ARC996, ProScan and FreeScan (which is free) will all do the job.

This article from our wiki gives you links to just about everything you will need to know to get started (including the Easier to Read manuals, which are at the bottom of)

Program your DMA Scanner - the RR Wiki

Its a new system. No info is available on it yet.its the birmingham al 911 system. When i do a custom search it shows the system id and shows ids and it comes in clear.i guess what i need to know is how to set it up as a system. I dont see the option for 700 system.just 800 only

Hope this helps

There are none because the system type is not frequency specific.

Your first problem is to determine what kind of system this new trunk is. I would continue the post you have in the Alabama forum, and see if someone has looked at this new system with some utilities to determine what it is.
