700 MHz. OpenSky in the Capital District area

Well, if you haven't ever heard what OpenSky sounds like, and you have a receiver that covers the 700 MHz. band, and you live in the Capital District area, try giving 764.4625 Mhz. a listen to. I believe this is a control channel for the local OpenSky test site in the Albany area.

BTW - OpenSky does not use 'control channels', per-se. If you look at the sites for the PA state-wide system, you will only see two frequencies per site.

Voice & data flow simultaneously & bi-directionally on that data stream...

Nothing flows seamlessly on Ma-Comm. If it did PA would not be a decade late, the system would have passed it's tests in Western NY. Dump the junk before it's too late.
Want to buy Ma-Comm call Tyco and make an offer.

Yeah, after listening to the sound clip, that is exactly what it sounds like.

I didn't realize that OpenSky didnt utilize a control channel; I dont have any real experience with it other than helping put one test site in. I still think in the EDACS realm, I guess.
