It depends.
Not including the connector and matching network (if any) a 1/4 wave antenna would be about 3" to 3.7". A 1/2 wave antenna would be twice that.
If the antenna element is thicker and/or is encased in plastic or rubber it could be shorter.
A helical antenna would be even shorter.
