I heard these P25 control channels, ASP Identified, ID'd by SY188 S042 info from GRE PSR-500 Scanner:

796.493750
796.496875
796.500000

Anybody have info on any rebanding or other info related to these freqs within Baxter, Boone, or Marion Counties ?

Agreed

I know it is part of the AWIN system as I stated it's system ID is 188 and its site ID is 042. Currently ASP Troop I in Baxter, Boone, and Marion Counties are in the 866-869 range. My question is, does anybody have info on any rebanding changes currently taking place within these 3 counties as evidence by the control channels mentioned in my first post ?

I'm not sure on that but I can tell you that when the system was set up there were some 700 MHZ channels used as backup channels in case of something going wrong with the 800 MHZ channels which is exactly what the ones in Lake City Are For...But as far as rebanding, No I'm not sure about that, Maybe someonelike pappy 1 or altec can confirm that fact.. Guys?

New to me. I am too far away too sit on them to identify their use.
Sorry... Pappy

That's Me Here.. I can't even get the next County Over (Troop B) From here (Troop C) Let alone 100 and some odd miles to there (Troop I) but I will listen when I'm in that area.

796.xx is technically part of the mobile or control station segment. If that's the case in your area then the base stations may be at 766.xx (30 mhz separation). Arkansas and all other states have a statewide license for 769-775 MHz base and 799-805 MHz mobile/control. Once the TV stations clear out in Feb, there will be a big increase in activity in this band. The RR database also shows a few channels at 765.xx for the AWIN system but these systems eventually have to reband up to 769-775 since the FCC completed the latest round of 700 MHz auctions.

Wouldn't this be an expansion/compliance of the frequencies instead of rebanding? The radios should already have the 700 MHz capability, so they wouldn't really need to be reprogrammed, just "flashed" to receive the new freqs, or they may have already been pre-programmed and were just waiting for the new repeaters to be installed.

Rebanding ONLY applies to the 800MHZ band

Nope, Don't know much about rebanding. 700MHz is new to me but surely they probably sound almost like 800MHz frequencies. Keep us posted on the new 700 frequencies. Maybe someone in the area with a discriminator tapper can keep us informed. AWIN still has a lot of potential candidates up for grabs on the AWIN system so they still have to come up with more frequencies to balance the load.

Can you hear these signals on a different model scanner? It might be an image from the 850/860 band. If you only hear it on one brand/model of scanner then it's probably an image.
