There are some mentions of it in various threads. It will receive the frequencies; however, it will not trunk track in that frequency range due to the way the firmware verfies channel grant frequencies, at least for Motorola. I don't think anyone has considered if EDACS would work there in trunking mode.

I would not expect to find many (or any) Motorola format systems in 700 MHz.
I would expect them to be P25 format. Does this change your assumption?

I also would not expect to see many (any) EDACS format systems there, but that I am less sure of.

Hmm, you got me.
A phrase from my youth comes to mind: "Ah miss-spoke ma-self."

However, the answer is the same. The Pro-96, which uses the MOTorola setting for APCO-25 systems, therefore using "channalized data" (as opposed to LCN) will not trunk-track 700 MHz systems, even if you enter the mapping (via a table) because it does a frequency validation and it does not have the 700 MHz frequencies as valid.

Interestingly enough, the newer Uniden models (296/796) with the updated firmware look like they would do it, if the radios covered the frequency range (which they don't), as they are not using predefined "channalized data" tables, but seem to be taking the data from the APCO-25 system data stream to determine voice frequencies. As a point of information, the Uniden models also use the Motorola settings for APCO-25 systems. :D
