70cm & 2mtr Biquad antenna design, balanced or unbalanced

Iam a newbie in making DIY antenna for uhf and vhf for ham radio, i used to vhf since i was in secondary and now i would like to make it again.. i am looking for anyone here can tell if biquad antenna design particularly for uhf and vhf are balanced or not balanced? Coz as far as i know is 50ohm. Coax used in a j pole is not balanced, but because of jpole is a balanced antenna it could have a good match... would be a bi quad will have a good match with 50ohm coax without to place any balun? Or can you share your design and i will be much appreciate you all

A biquad would be a balanced antenna and its a good idea to use an effective balun at the feedpoint to decouple the feedline from the antenna. It could be ferrite, coax sleeve or other type.
