I'm no where near you on the west side, but I think it's cool how you're keeping everything detailed and updated.

Thanks Mike for all that research. It can be a puzzle sometimes. I would imagine that need to update and maintain the old system will be based on how long certain agencies take to do the switchover. Some towns will probably be slow to switch, but also maybe statewide agencies like UDOT. I Imagine that is what will be setting the timelines.

Enos,

I know from other research there are input freq's on these radios and towers in the 851 mhz and the output is in the 855 range.
So what your seeing may just be pairs of freq's in the Public Service 800 mhz band. Would take some time to find this info but it's out there.

This is incorrect. The 800 MHz band (806-896 MHz) is split in half with the inputs 45 MHz lower than the outputs.
Trunked or conventional repeaters on 855 MHz will have inputs on 810 MHz.

Using Unitrunker to decode the control channel (851.4250), the following channels/frequencies have been confirmed as being used for Site-18, Lake IR.
851.1625, 851.4250 (control), 851.7500, 853.1625, 853.2125, 853.6375, 853.8875 (alt control), 857.4375, 859.1625, 859.4375, and 859.5625.
This is the freq breakout directly from decoding the control channel.
Most of these I have confirmed by watching the SDS100 display, while locked on this site.
These are the repeater output freqs. The input to each repeater will be 45 Mhz below the output. (as stated above)

Utah County has TWO simocast sites: Lake Mountain Simo (7202 Site 18) and Utah Simo (7202 Site 4) which the UCA techs are calling "Happy Valley Simo."
Not sure on Site 4 but I believe it hosts four sites at Kimball Tower (BYU), East Lehi, UC Jail and West Mountain.
Site 18 hosts two sites (that I know of) on Lake Mountain and Cedar Pass (Eagle Mtn.) There may be more but I don't know for sure.
This all took place a couple of years ago or maybe sooner because of growth and coverage issues.

N7OLQ and myself have verified that 7202 Site 18 has transmitters at three locations as we stated earlier. And the Kimball Tower site shares freqs with West Mountain, and they belong to 643e.
So, I ask members from Utah County, What should we rename site 18? It is no longer an IR Site, it is now a simulcast site.
Should we call it Lake Mtn Simul? or should we call it the new UTAH Co Simul? It is now, the only 7202 simulcast in Utah County.
If someone can confirm another 7202 simulcast site in Utah County, please let us know.
In the meantime, we need to get the RR DB freqs updated for site 18.

The reason they wouldn’t start switching to p25 is cuz no one has the p25 radios yet, even if some radios were to work , most wouldn’t, they have been having virtual meetings with Harris, (Harris is somewhere in the north east coast) talking about the plans and progress

N7YUO has posted a thread about the adjustments of this and other Simulcast sites according to the plans of UCA, which will explain all of this and more in further detail..
