I've been going to Surplus Traders at 73.com for years to check out their crazy deals, even long before I knew it was Ham parlance for "Best Regards".
If you're familiar with the site, you'll know that the ads are very much like that in a newspaper. Links in the ads will only take you to the page of the regional sales rep, with whom you can call and broker a deal. They have some spankin' deals, too. For example, they have 3000 Kilometers of 216 Strand Fiber Optic Cable (on 540 sealed drums), and they're giving it away for $10 million. rofl. But seriously, folks, it's a fun site to browse through. They have everything.
Anyway, Marvin is selling the www.73.com domain name. I'm sure it's going to cost a pretty penny, but I home some Ham site uses it.
It's so appropriate.
He'll probably just port everything over to the SurplusTrader.net domain, as I doubt he's going anywhere.
