785 vs 796

Looking at maybe getting another scanner. Mobile, trunking, with alpha is hard requirements. The 796 will do 9600 baud cc's, the 785 only 3600. Obviously if you're buying new and you want digital - the 785 no longer makes sense, as it's cheaper to buy the 796 than the 785 and card. But...

Are there any other differences between the two that I should know about?

Yea, if you can find someone with a 785 w/card they wand to unload, it should be 1/2 the price of a 796 if you can get by with the 785.
