796D Flip-stand Removable?

Can someone tell me if the flip-stand and feet are removable for in-dash installation? I only have the exact height dimension to fit in-dash. Or, are the stand and feet included in the 2 3/8" height dimension?

I haven't seen the new Uniden Digital radios, but I was able to take the stand (paded feet) off my BC780XLT with the 4 screws, and thats the only thing that came off exposing the black case only.

Yes, the bottom flip stand and feet are easily removed with 4 screws on the bottom. The 2 3/8 inch dimension does not include the flip stand or feet.

Keep in mind that the speaker is bottom-mounted. If you're going to dash mount the radio, I'd think you would definitely want to use an external speaker so you don't muffle the sound too badly.
