796D & P25 programming ?

Hello, trying to program in 2 different P25 trunking systems here is WI. Getting hung up on the correct program setting, I have been using # 5 which is Type 2 P25 VHF. Do not think this is a type 2 system as it does not seem to work showing TG's. I can hear audio fine, just won't track it.
Perhaps the 796D is not able to trunk a standard P25 VHF system? Would appreciate any thoughts on how to proceed.

What systems are you trying to do? Are they P25 or Motorola Type two with APCO-25 digital TG's, cause that makes a difference. Totally different system types for your scanner.

796D & P25 programming

Hi Mark, actually they are in different radios. I can hear the audio just fine, I am unable to set it up to track and display TG's. Another person thought the 796D was not able to track a straight P25 type of system. Other then option # 5 which is type 2 / P25 / VHF and I am not sure what to select. Looking at the custom options they are both looking for the base / offset / spacing angle as well.
