I've noticed that the PRO-97 does work DX well. The receiver is hot for the low bands, VHF, and UHF.

Let's hope the new GRE PSR-300 and 500 will work the same.

Now that I say that, the PRO-97 is picking up the 400MHz Chicago police dispatch frequencies on the stock antenna.

The PRO-96 is picking up the Chicago Public Safety & Services - 800 MHz, 1a0f on the RS800MHz antenna.
