800 MHz Antenna For Pro-95

I have been debating purchasing an 800 MHz antenna for my Pro-95.

I was just wondering what those that might use this antenna thought of it and if its something that I ought to invest in.

I have used the Radio Shack 20-283 for over a year now, and it has GREATLY improved my reception for 800 and 900 mHz listening. Not a bad purchase for $15.49.

i also have had mine for about a year and it has been the best antenna i have gotten for not only 800MHz, but it does a damn good job at UHF and VHF as well. Definitly worth the money.

Totally agree with the others, the Radio Shack 800 MHz antenna is a good one - highly recommend it. Use it on my Pro-95 and Pro-96.

I also use the RS 800MHz antenna, one hell of an antenna, especually (I can't spell the word ) for being so low profile.

Just wanted to thank all of you for your feedback.

I purchased an antenna today and have had it on the scanner for about 6 hours now. It has made a big difference in reception. The transmissions are more clear and there is less static than with the antenna that came with the scanner. We shall see how it is after a week or so.

I thought that it would make a difference on the NOAA Weather Radio reception but it didn't really. That's OK though because I do not tune into NOAA WX that often.
