800 mhz antenna question

I drive the state quite regularly and I 'm wondering if I could receive the ASP on AWIN better if I made an antenna adjustment. I am currently using the Radio Shack 800 mhz duckie and don't really get great reception. Does anyone have an opinion on what type of improvement I can expect if I went this route (http://www.scannermaster.com/Antenex_B8065_Antenna_p/20-540972.htm) ?

That may help. A band specific antenna outside the car (with good coax) will probably help. The key is not to lose the signal in bad coax. I don't have any suggestions for mobile applications.

I find the RS800 to work quite well. Some do, some don't. I also have a Antenex DEXB902SM stubby antenna that works quite well!
