I have used the RS 800 antenna on various scanners ever since it was introduced. I am totally satisfied with it's performance. Even though it's designed for 800, it also does a very commendable job on VHF/UHF. Don't think you would be disappointed.

I am very pleased with Radio Shack's 800MHz antenna. I think they're around $17.00. I have tried $40 antenna's and can't compare to Radio Shack's. Hope this helps.

I have the Radio Shack 800mhz hand held scanner antenna on my
Uniden 396t and it picks up real well on that scanner. So I am going to have to agree with xusmarine1979. I took the original one that
came with the scanner and put it in my nightstand.
