I want a dedicated 800 trunking antenna!!!

Can someone supply dimensions for an off center fed dipole for this band?

Or is there a better design?

Do a google search for "dipole antenna calculator" there are several of them on line or figure it yourself
total length (inches) = 5616/frequency (MHz)
divide the result by 2 to get the lenght of each half

Thanks for the replies folks...I know the dipole calculation...but wondering if the OCFD is a bit better and how to figure the dimensions for that...

Or do I make it more for the 450-470 band and it is a good performer on 800 mhz and the 700 mhz stuff when we need it?

I have made MANY of the small groundplanes that kokomo1 offered. Heck one time I didn't even suspend the antenna...the stiffness of the coax held it up in the air.
