Ok,After yrs of trying to solve my problem with 800 MHZ reception, (I live in a gully) I purchased a Stridsberg Model A-8020 800 MHZ Pre-Amp,With the Model T-4010 Bias T (Remote power to the amplifier),Now im no expert,But after hooking everything up,And powering everything up,I now recieve the Mass State Pd full quieting now.This isnt a free ad for this,But after trying everything this equipment works better than i ever expected.

Question is , what tower are you trying to listen to vs a better location name (than Essex County) and was the issue about being over powered by Cell sites (Nextel) that are now DOA ??

Ahh, that might be your issue, locking onto a site that is an Inteli Site
Essex County can hear many Zones/Sites and some are only Active when Affiliated to (ie: Zone 20 in Haverhill/Amesbury) here as Zone 5 is 24/7 activity
