I will wait till the wife gets home and see how loud she screams before I plan my next move. I am going to look at a new antenna but will wait a few months.

Can we assume that in a few months, you'll have 100' of Rohn 45 tower up holding several antennas? Well, the wife just might notice something like that in the back yard.

Update Update Update

Well the wife got home and never said a word, dont know if thats good or bad.
Even though I gained a bar on my 800 digital it was still real garbled. I would say 50% garble, I could make out most conversation but you had to work at it.

I had a little slack in the cable so I went and got one more section of pole. I think I raised it about 2 1/2 feet and while I had it down I sealed the cable where it hooks to the antenna.
I have been listening for a couple hours and I bet I am down to 20% garble!
I can not believe the difernce that little bit made.
It just goes to show dont be afraid to monkey around with things you just never know.
