Hi all,

I am looking for a stubby 800mhz w/ bnc. By stubby, meaning about 4-5 inches tall. I have a 246t and I monitor edacs. Besides, I think the standard rubber ducky looks odd on such a short scanner. Please let me know where I can find one of these stubbys.

Thanks

I have the 20-283 on my 246T and it has been great! It works well for me across the range I normally listen to (145-900). I took a few photos of the scanner with the RS antenna and the stock ducky to show how it looks. The RS feels shorter and its a lot more flexible. I think its great.

If the 20-283 looks a little longer in this pic, its because it is longer..by about half an inch. It doesn't show up in the photos here but there's a "800MHz" graphic on the barrel of the RS antenna near the connector.
[proof of high geekdom] I think the graphic looks like LCARS font from Star Trek.[/pohg]

Here is my '246 with an 800 MHz stubby antenna. I think it's the same type that BNC Antenna sells, but not positive.
