I was searching for new trunked systems in Springfield today and came across what sounds like (to me) a motorola trunking control channel on 820.0625.

When I try to program it in a trunked system control channel only in my 780 and 396 I get an out of band message. I can program it conventionally.

If anyone is from Springfield or passing thru can they give it a try in monitoring this or pass on any info that they may have.

Try finding the same data signal elsewhere, search from 851 thru 869 MHz. Below 851 MHz. are all mobile communications, trunktrackers will only work on the base side of the system.

I imagine that you may be hearing an image.

I plugged in 820.0625 and I am getting nothing. I also tried 865.0625 (45 mhz higher, should be where you would here both sides of a conv.) and got nothing. I'm in Springfield and have a 40 foot outdoor antenna plugged into my ar 3000. Maybe an image?

I tried 820.0625 in my 780 and I am picking up a weak signal of a control freq. Sounds like motorola type 2. It is almost definitely an image. I'll fish around until I figure out which one. I'm thinking it may be the Springfield trs from 860.9875 or 859.9875. There are a couple other trs's that it could be also.
