At 0644utc 1:44am cdt local time on Sunday June 30, 2024, I received a Sea State Analysis weather facsimile on 8502khz upper side band NMG New Orleans. I'm in Oklahoma City. Propagation was good. The signal was strong. I am using an MLA 30+ active loop antenna indoors connected to my SDRPlay RSP1b. Software is SDRuno v.1.42.1128 and decoded with FLDigi v4.2.05.

A good catch. The K index has all the marine fax, telex wiped out here, I did get a little voice out of New Orleans, but not very intelligable.
Don't expect HF to be worth much next few days.

NMG transmits after midnight when people sleep in the western hemisphere. My point of view is that even with the K index never stop swl'ing!!!
