i'am in muscatine county and hearing a roll call for marshalltown and other ciities and counties, there seems to be another service on the same freq the pl tone is 118.8 and it's showing 38320 what ever that is , could some one tell me everthing to know about this freq like hex codes, trunking and other

From what i can dig up out of the DB, That is a racom fequency that is used. The nearest tower that is listed is Dubuque 3. Other than that Omaha West is the only other tower that has this freq. Unless, Racom has added a tower with this freq set down nere muscatine somewhere. You might see if you can get a control channel of some sort. Look at either the Omaha West or the Dubuque 3 tower frequncy sets and see if you can find one of those channels and get some control channel chatter

Racom runs a company net every weekday at 11:45 doing a roll-call of company units (by unit number) statewide. It's routed to all sites, so if you've got any Racom systems programmed in, you should be able to hear it. The Iowa Health Alert Network also runs a monthly net (1st Wednesday), taking check-ins from hospitals and public health agencies, but it is divided up by regions so you'll likely hear just the check-ins for your local region.
