I managed to find a few minutes this morning to stop in at my place and set trunker to work on that control channel. Here's what I've sussed so far...though it's only 10 minutes worth of decoding time.
SysID: 4B1C (same as Hamilton TRS in database)
Control channel: 866.5375
Alternate: 866.1625
Trunker claims that this is cell #1 of the Hamilton TRS (4B1C) and that the connect tone is 138.46 Hz.
As of the time I left, only 2 radio IDs were affiliated with the system and there were no talkgroups or patches assigned. Since there was no traffic I couldn't determine any voice frequencies right away, although trunker showed the control channel as a voice frequency as well.
Sorry to repeat some of my previous questions, but what was the original purpose for this system? Was it to provide coverage for H-W police in the outlying areas back in the day? I was getting a decode rate between 85-100% so I'm pretty sure that either the tower is located further away from me (I'm right downtown on Bay St.) or the ERP is lower than the regular TRS...which I never have any problem getting a 100% decode rate on.
Questions, questions, questions. Mike, if you can shed any light on this that would be great. I'll post any more info trunker gleans this morning.
I'm hesitant to submit any of this info here to the database until I have a better idea of which voice frequencies are on this cell. I'll also have to put trunker on the 'regular TRS' to determine if it has a cell number...something I figured I would have noticed by now if it was there.
As an aside question, can two Moto type 2 radio systems that are networked exist with both having the same SysID and only one acting as a cell? My reference point is Fleetnet, which has a cell number for each site unto itself, and when trunker is on a different control channel it of course creates a new file for each cell...and I don't recall seeing a file called 4b1cc1.txt until now...but I have been wrong before.
