Well, it hasn't happened for a while, but it appears the New Castle zone has another hanging frequency.

If there are any other forum members from other APCO25 states (Michigan?) with any knowledge of what causes this, please respond. I'm really interested in knowing. Is it because of the system's age? I saw in the paper the governor has proposed dropping quite a few dollars toward the 800 system, so maybe upgrades are on the horizon.

We in Delaware are lucky to have a forum member who has a contact with the state. Hopefully if he reads this (or is experiencing this), he will notify the proper people. Thanks, G.!!

Rgr that Mike same here and seeing I'm in Cecil County that probably means the Lums Pond tower site is the culprit as that is the one I can just recieve normally.
Could be Countywide but in the past usually it is one tower site acting up.

Hello,

It could be the Lums Pond Site. My Uniden units hang even with the ATT feature on 866.5625 MHz. My GRE PRO 96 and PRO 2096 do not hang and ignore it. They scan normally. Hopefully with the $19 Million proposal from Gov. Minner, the system will be upgraded and the hanging repeater will end. :D The Tower software dates back to 1989 so anything new would be an improvement.
