Hearing Chinese Music fairly well on 8872.6 Khz in USB. Signal is about average strength and has moments of up and down audio.

Time is 0442z on 8/25/2014.

I hear a lot of Chinese and Japanese fishing boats right around there. Maybe one of them fooling around and playing music?

I presume that's what it was... an hour or so later, that same frequency had a couple of OMs just chatting. One of them was no doubt rebroadcasting music.

Yeah I would assume fishermen. There are some Japanese guys that do this too on 12283

Unless their transmitters were out of whack (always possible), China Radio would not be on 8 Mhz.

Maybe some fishermen fooling around and/or a bit of Firedrake in here too...Mike
