To read the firmware revision level, with the radio off, press and hold 2, 4, and 9. Turn the radio on and read the revision level and checksum.

There have been three firmware versions as listed below. Firmware is user upgradeable via the serial port on the back of the radio.


1.27 5ED7H Initial production firmware
1.29 EF95H Corrects CTCSS/DCS malfunction
1.60 40F6H Adds rebanding capability to trunked system reception
