Just wondering if there has ever been a get together.
Or is everyone afraid after hearing what goes on in this city.
I know the Fire Buffs get together once a month, just wondered if anyone
around here does. Did anyone say BEER??

I can recall a get 2 gether in the yahoo group. I have a pretty good memory, someone in Parkdale (or used to be in Parkdale) had one in Jan '03.

That was me..... We had maybe 20 people from the Scanont group come over to my humble Parkdale apartment a few years ago.. Had some people demontrating Trunker and some Railway radio applications... My wife made her now-famous cheese dip... My cat was introduced to his life-passion (laser pointers and remote-controlled minicars) it was fun and good to meet some people from the list.

I don't live in Parkdale anymore, and the wife is long gone. I've still got the memories (siiigh)

I remember it being well attended, at the time I had just moved to Hamilton and couldnt make it.

I lived in parkdale also, Pearson and Roncie...if you need an apartment

hah. I miss Parkdale. I lived on Triller, off Queen just west of Ronscesvalles. I was on Queen st few weeks ago for some reason, and as I was stepping over a drunk who was laying on the sidewalk
and checking out the hookers on their stroll next to the bank.... I was suddenly struck with a wave of Nostalgia.... Brampton's so boring in comparasion.

I was thinking about a get together thing-a-ma-jigger. If anyone has one, let me know. wouldnt mind meeting a few people from here, possibly learn some more since i'm still kinda new at this.

I tried planning annother one a few months back on scanont, but there was little interest.

Its a shame cause people here are pretty passionate about scanning here. Hell, its a good chance to geek out and have a few pops.


As for Parkdale, it was a good area to scan, nothing in either direction to impede signals, coverage to the lake was exceptional and the side streets have nice houses, thats all I can say.

Yeah, well I wanted the cat to have a good time too. I figured he deserved it after bravely venturing out from the bedroom.

BTW, don't forget the service monitor for the hamsters - a few rigs got tuned up that night.
