Will these scanners monitor APCO-25 systems?

Specifically this system:

StarCom21 Statewide Illinois P25 Trunking System, Statewide, Illinois - Scanner Frequencies

I realize it wont do the 700mhz freqs but will it do the 800mhz?

I think the answer is yes but just want some confirmation.

Yes it will, just not the 700 as you stated.

I have the 1.3ver RS2096 and it trunks the 800mgz towers just great....I know a guy with 1.4ver and its not so great with breakups....

If you use the Win-96 software, you can open up the extended frequencies which will cover the 700mhz band on the 96/2096.

But it won't trunk track in the 700 MHz band.

Do you set the control channels to FM or MOT? I would think MOT.

Set them to MOT, as well as the Bank.
