996 Questions On Display & Re Manual

Hello:

Two questions for the 996 folks:

a. regarding the display on the bottom left
(and pertaining to their dwg in the manual)

Item 1, the Group Quick Key is clear.

But for item 2 which they call "Site Quick Key" -

what is the "0" immediately after the "S"

are the numbers following the two vertical dots the QK's that are active ?

is the meaning of "site" the same as "channel"

b. I noticed that the manual that came with the unit, and the manual that is downloadable from the Uniden site in pdf form are different. Unfortunately, neither seems to have a rev. number or date.

Which do you think would be the latest ?

S=System
S0: 1234567890 is for System Quick Keys 1-0
S1: 1234567890 is for System Quick Keys 10-19
S2: 1234567890 is for System Quick Keys 20-29
and so on thru S9: 1234567890

Remember to enable / disable System Quick Keys use (.No) then 1 then 1 again for example when using QK 11 (.No) is the shift key for all 2-digit System Keys

As for the owners manual I would use the one that came with the scanner
